JR Abandoned Railway and Hokusetsu Omine Mountain Hiking

This intermediate-level hiking event follows the route of the former JR Fukuchiyama Line, which was decommissioned in 1986. The trail includes segments along the old railway tracks, passing through historical tunnels and over bridges, before ascending Hokusetsu Omine Mountain and finishing at Nakayamadera Temple. Participants must bring proper hiking gear, including a backpack, and a portable light source for tunnel passage. The itinerary includes an optional evening visit to a local restaurant and a hot spring facility, and the route is physically demanding.
