Lammas: Rite of the 9 Mermaids

Lughnasadh/Lammas observance centers on connecting with Northern European sea deities, specifically the nine daughters of Ran and Aegir, as well as Njord. Participants engage in divination and trance work to interact with these spirits, which are associated with complex emotions. Preparations include making offerings to water, such as cleaning up trash along a shoreline, and bringing relevant ritual items or comfort gear for outdoor participation. Attendance is open to those of all experience levels.
