A philosophical discussion exploring the concept of authenticity in contemporary society. The session examines the tension between modern pressures for individuality and the inherent performance required by social roles, careers, and public personas. Key questions include whether a true self exists beneath social identities, how constant self-presentation affects our perception of authenticity, and whether the societal demand to be yourself acts as a form of control. Participants will analyze whether authenticity is a lifelong developmental process or a static destination and how it influences personal happiness, responsibility, and moral life.
