Participants will explore the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area, a 326-acre woodland, on a hike spanning 8 to 10 kilometers along flat trails through forests and meadows. The trip continues to the Chappell Marsh Conservation Area for a 2.5-kilometer loop trail through a prairie wetland environment, suitable for observing marsh wildlife and waterfowl. Hikers should prepare by dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing necessary supplies, including water, a snack, and insect repellent due to the wooded and wetland terrain.
