The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

The Tony Award–winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a celebration of words, competition, and the challenges of adolescence. In a high-stakes spelling bee, six awkward champions navigate personal emotions and mounting pressure as they vie for the title. Featuring clever wordplay and songs, the musical captures the humor and growth experienced by the competitors. Music and lyrics are by William Finn with a book by Rachel Sheinken. It was conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss, originally directed on Broadway by James Lapine, and directed for this production by Mieko Ouchi.
