Zadie Xa with Benito Mayor Vallejo: Moonlit Confessions Across Deep Sea Echoes

Zadie Xa creates immersive installations using materials including painting, textiles, sculpture, light, and sound, which explore spiritual practices and intergenerational storytelling. Her work integrates her Korean heritage and West Coast upbringing with themes of interspecies communication, mythology, shamanism, and folklore to examine diasporic identity and marine ecology. Developed in collaboration with Benito Mayor Vallejo, this exhibition continues the project previously showcased at the Sharjah Biennial 16. It marks the artist's first major solo exhibition.
