Environmental Stewardship at Colwood Creek Park

Participants engage in environmental stewardship at Colwood Creek Park by removing invasive plant species to support the growth of native trees and shrubs, strengthening the local forest ecosystem. The program, organized by the City of Colwood and Green Teams of Canada, provides all necessary tools, safety equipment, and instruction. No prior experience is required, and volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to contribute to ecological health. This initiative allows participants to learn about local environmental issues, gain volunteer hours, and contribute to community well-being while respecting the traditional territories of the Songhees, W̱SÁNEĆ Nation, the Lekwungen-speaking Songhees, and Esquimalt peoples.
