Katsuo-ji Temple and Minoh Falls Hike

This hiking event involves exploring Katsuo-ji, a Shingon Buddhist temple in the hills north of Osaka, known for its extensive collection of red daruma dolls and seasonal hydrangeas. The route continues to Minoh Falls, a 33-meter waterfall situated within the forested Meiji no Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park. The hike covers approximately 8 kilometers, involving paved mountain roads, forest trails, and stairs within the temple grounds. Participants may encounter local wildlife, such as Japanese macaque monkeys, and pass by traditional snack stalls offering regional treats like deep-fried maple leaves.
