Knowledge work is fundamentally about making decisions, yet many organizations prioritize methodology over the capability to make decisions effectively. This session examines decision-making as a measurable organizational capability, utilizing frameworks such as Mission Command, MIT CISR research on decision rights, the NATO C2 maturity model, and McChrystal's Team of Teams. Participants will analyze what constitutes a decision, identify causes of quality and speed degradation, and develop a maturity model applicable at individual, team, and organizational levels to assess and improve decision-making capabilities as a strategic asset.
