Justice AI GPT & the DIA Framework: Rethinking AI Bias

This session explores how AI can inadvertently reinforce systemic inequities by introducing Justice AI GPT and the Decolonial Intelligence Algorithmic (DIA) Framework. This model focuses on collaborative AI design by examining power structures, prioritizing intersectional community impact, embedding community-led governance, and reimagining data practices. A case study illustrates how applying the DIA approach leads to more equitable outcomes, intended for technologists, data scientists, and community advocates focused on ethical and inclusive AI.
