University of Alberta Press presents a poetry event featuring readings from its newest collections: Sublunary by Lisa Richter, Nighthawks by Lisa Martin, and Evacuations by Kevin Irie. The event is co-hosted by the Edmonton Poetry Festival and hosted by Uche Umezurike. Sublunary explores themes of grief, renewal, and climate emergency. Nighthawks examines creaturely interconnectedness and global crises. Evacuations documents the personal and political histories of the Japanese-Canadian internment in British Columbia during World War II.
