Experimental composer Noël Fanaeian, in collaboration with Pro Coro Canada, conductor Michael Zaugg, and composer Benedict Sheehan, presents a world premiere performance for chamber choir and live electronics. The work functions as a real-time interaction where audience members submit anonymous text messages that are immediately sung by the choir, processed into ambient electronics, and integrated into visual projections. The performance opens with an improvisational set by Allison Balcetis and Afarin Nazarijou, blending contemporary sound with traditional Middle Eastern instrumentation. The event concludes with a reception featuring food inspired by Fanaeian’s Persian-Filipino heritage.
